What kind of phones do I need to enjoy Cloud 9 PBX?

You don’t even need a desk phone to use Cloud 9 PBX, however most businesses of size need desk phones. Any IP phone should works. The preferred manufacturers for Cloud 9 PBX are Aastra, Yealink, Polycom, and Cisco.

Can I enjoy life on Cloud 9 PBX and keep my current phones?

Yes you can. Otherwise, upgrade!!

Is there an app for Cloud 9 PBX?

Yes. The Cloud 9 PBX Mobile APP enables employees to work from wherever they are.

What kind of internet connection do I need?

Any broadband connection will do, with the exception of DSL.

Will my alarm line work with a Cloud 9 VOIP path?

No! You might want to explore cellular for your alarm panel to call out on. Or, keep an old analog line for this (about the only use left for old analog POTS lines). Consult with your alarm company.

What is the USF charge?

Short answer: It’s a FCC regulated fee. It’s the result of The Telecommunications Act of 1996, to fund broadband internet access in schools, libraries and rural areas across the nation.

What is e911 charge?

In some states, Cloud 9 PBX is required by the state or county government to impose a monthly charge for Enhanced 911 (E911). This fee is used to fund computer software and hardware upgrades for public safety answering points to locate a caller who dials 911. This functionality is not yet available in many states.
